Tecnomar’s 142-foot catamaran redefines luxury on the high seas

Tecnomar, a brand under The Italian Sea Group shipyard, has introduced a groundbreaking 142-foot catamaran that sets new standards for luxury at sea.

This exceptional vessel challenges conventional designs, resembling a modern waterfront villa set against the deep blue expanse of the ocean. Known as “This Is It,” the motor catamaran boasts an eye-catching exterior characterized by captivating asymmetries and incorporates an impressive 600 square meters of glass windows, creating a seamless connection between the interior and the breathtaking surroundings.

Inspired by the grace of sea creatures, This Is It combines form and function with an optimized hull designed for hydrodynamic efficiency, resulting in reduced fuel consumption. The avant-garde catamaran also features innovative exhaust gas treatment technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction) to minimize nitrogen oxide emissions, reflecting a commitment to eco-friendliness.

Internally, the interiors have been meticulously crafted by Mattia Piro and Gian Marco Campanino, capturing the essence of refined luxury. Six ensuite cabins accommodate up to 12 guests, each adorned with a large skylight and generous 11-foot headroom. The owner’s suite is a masterpiece in itself, reminiscent of a coastal villa, complete with a scenic terrace and a vertical garden spanning two decks. Subdued tones of champagne and platinum-grey harmonize with the tranquil surroundings, while high-quality leather and metallic surfaces in bronze, platinum, and gold infuse an air of sophistication.

The yacht’s interior design is characterized by smooth, cocooning lines, exuding an aura of pure luxury through the use of exquisite and precious materials. A central lounge with expansive floor-to-ceiling doors creates a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, forming a vast social area that includes a bar, game area, swimming pool, and formal dining space. The galley features polarized glass for show cooking, allowing guests to stay informed about culinary preparations.

For ultimate relaxation, the upper deck offers a spa with a treatment area, sauna, and sensory shower. The yacht’s playroom doubles as a flexible cabin, ideal for entertaining children or accommodating additional guests.

With a cruising speed of 19 knots, the This Is It catamaran will be available for charter starting in April 2024, offering an unparalleled luxury experience on the open seas. Owned by Tasos Papanastasios, founder of the world’s largest financial forex platform, XM, this 142-foot marvel sets a new benchmark in maritime opulence.
