Victor Osimhen’s strained relationship with Napoli has caught the attention of several European giants, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
The Nigerian striker expressed his dissatisfaction with Napoli after the club posted two controversial TikTok videos that mocked him, one for missing a penalty and the other using a term deemed by many as a racial slur.
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, was quick to react, threatening legal action to protect his client’s interests. This tension between player and club has sparked speculation of a potential winter departure.
The Sun reported that Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed interest in the £150 million-rated superstar should Napoli decide to sell.
Last summer, after Osimhen’s impressive season of 26 goals that helped Napoli secure their first Serie A championship since 1990, several teams inquired about his availability.
Signs of Osimhen’s discontent are evident as he has deleted all Napoli-related content from his Instagram account, including photos and videos of him in the Napoli shirt. Additionally, he appeared to snub his teammates’ handshakes upon arriving at the training ground before their recent 4-1 victory over Udinese.
Napoli might entertain offers for the striker, having previously rejected a £120 million bid from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal. It seems that other European clubs will need to approach this valuation if they aim to secure Osimhen’s services. The final decision on Osimhen’s future destination, should he decide to leave Gli Azzurri in January, remains uncertain.
