Last year, Erik ten Hag’s squad took home the hardware, so they’ll be motivated to defend their title. Here’s a rundown of some of the most recent tidbits of club gossip…

United are apparently still interested in acquiring Adrien Rabiot from Juventus during the upcoming January transfer window. A report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato claims that they are currently’monitoring’ the condition of the France international while considering a future swoop for him.

Looking for a job in management?

Tom Cleverley, a former United player, has expressed interest in managing the team. The 34-year-old, who last played for Watford in the Championship, declared his retirement from the sport in July.

As a young player, he made 79 appearances for Manchester United after joining the club in 2000 from Bradford City. Former England international: “Yes, that’s my long-term goal (to become a manager),” as stated to Sky Sports. You have high standards, and as a coach, you won’t lower them.I’ve had a good beginning to my career as an U18s coach (at Watford), and I’m still learning new things every day. I believe that my playing experience has prepared me for a career as a coach, and I also believe that I have the work ethic necessary to succeed in this role. Who knows how far I’ll go. I may be working hard, but I’m having a great time doing it.
