After achieving the remarkable feat of becoming Brazil’s all-time leading goal scorer with 78 goals, Neymar has unveiled a special, limited-edition pair of customized shoes dedicated to those who have been instrumental in his career.

Earning his place as the highest-scoring player in the history of the Brazilian national team, Neymar decided to commemorate this achievement with a brand-new, personalized shoe model. Taking to social media, he introduced this exclusive footwear, which is being released in a limited run of 78 pairs, symbolizing his new goal-scoring record. These shoes will be gifted to individuals who have played pivotal roles in Neymar’s career.

According to Neymar’s announcement, the recipients of these special editions will include close friends, coaches, current and former teammates, as well as Brazilian football legends.

Each pair of these shoes corresponds to one of Neymar’s goals for the national team. Dubbed the “NJR 78 Future,” the shoe design features a pristine white color and showcases ten unique logos, crafted from Neymar’s personal sketches.

These illustrations start on the right shoe with an image of a young player and conclude with a depiction of a contemporary player on the left shoe. Surrounding these images are the poignant words, “History does not repeat itself.” Additionally, Neymar’s original childhood signature, the one he jotted down in a notebook while dreaming of a career as a professional footballer, adorns the front of the shoes.

While FIFA statistics do not account for matches involving combined club and league teams, Neymar’s record-breaking 79th goal for the Brazilian national team, surpassing Pele’s previous record, occurred during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in a match against Bolivia. However, according to the Brazilian Football Federation’s criteria, which includes all matches, Neymar remains 16 goals behind the legendary “King of Football.”
