Official: Neymar explain rumors of demanding head coach’s dismissal

Neymar categorically refuted all media reports as “deceptive” regarding his alleged request for the resignation of Al-Hilal’s head coach, Jorge Jesus.

Taking to his personal Instagram account, Neymar expressed his frustration, stating, “Deceptive. Everyone, please stop believing in these things. Pages like this, with millions of followers, should refrain from spreading false news. With all due respect in the world, I urge you to cease this. It is a lack of respect.”

Previously, an Instagram account named “fiqueiputomesmo_” had posted information claiming Neymar was in a “struggle” with Coach Jesus and demanded the immediate dismissal of the strategist by Al-Hilal’s leadership. To lend credibility, this account even included quotations attributed to the Spanish sports outlet, Sport.

Jesus was reappointed as Al-Hilal’s head coach earlier this summer after helping them win the Saudi Arabia Super Cup in the 2018/19 season. Meanwhile, Neymar recently joined Al-Hilal’s ranks, alongside notable players such as Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Kalidou Koulibaly. To date, Al-Hilal remains undefeated in the Saudi Pro League with five victories and two draws.

Since his debut for the new team, Neymar has yet to score a goal, despite playing the full 90 minutes in the last two matches. Presently, he has contributed two assists in Al-Hilal’s 6-1 victory over Al-Riyadh.
