Marcus Rashford has returned to training following Saturday night’s car crash
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been pictured arriving at training just days after he crashed his Rolls Royce after the 1-0 win at Burnley.
The England international damaged a different vehicle to the one spotted at Carrington on Monday when he was leaving the club’s training complex on Saturday night. It is believed that the 25-year-old collided with a 74-year-old woman’s car at around midnight.
Rashford sustained no injuries but was assessed by a club doctor, while the woman behind the wheel of the other vehicle involved was believed to have been left shaken up, but also came away unhurt.
Soon after news of the crash broke, United released a statement to confirm no injuries were sustained. “Marcus is fine and was not injured,” a United spokesman said.
“It was an accidental collision as he left the training ground after returning from Burnley. It was an incident involving his car and one driven by a member of the public. Thankfully both were uninjured and no ambulance was required.”
“Modern vehicles are incredibly robust, and that helped to protect Marcus,” a source told the Mirror. “He got out of the car unassisted an his first thought was for the woman motorist to make sure that she was not hurt.
“Bruno [Fernandes] stopped because he saw his team mate and obviously he was worried about him and the woman driver. So he made sure they were both fine and able to leave the scene without any problems.”

Rashford also addressed the incident himself on his own social media as he wrote: “3 points on the road! I’m alright guys thanks for the messages.”
Video footage taken be a passer-by after the crash showed the extent of the damage done to Rashford’s car. The accident took place at a spot where fans often try to get autographs from United players.

Police were called to the scene and spoke to all parties involved. Both drivers were breathalysed as a matter of routine after the accident but were given the green light to leave without any further action being taken by the authorities.
It has since been reported that the woman involved in the crash had no idea who either of Rashford or Fernandes was, though club officials paid for a taxi to take her 15 miles home.
