Vincent Kompany spoke up after the defeat against Manchester United

Speaking after Burnley’s 0-1 loss to MU, coach Vincent Kompany praised his students’ performance.

Burnley hosts MU in the match in round 6 of the Premier League. Both teams started the season poorly. As for Burnley, they only have 1 point after 5 rounds. Meanwhile, MU is on a streak of 3 consecutive losses, meaning they lost 4 of the first 6 matches in the 2023/24 season.

 

After seeing his goal denied by VAR, Jonny Evans made a wonderful assist for Bruno Fernandes to volley home the opener for MU. Burnley then rallied to find an equalizer. They also had opportunities but could not take advantage of them.

The match ended with a score of 1-0 for the Red Devils. Thus, MU has temporarily averted the crisis, while Burnley continues to receive another defeat. Speaking after Burnley’s 0-1 loss to MU, coach Vincent Kompany praised his students’ performance. He said:

“We know it will be a difficult match. They are an injured giant and facing teams like that is really tough. But we had a few good moments, we had chances but couldn’t score.”

 

“If the ball had gone in we would have been rewarded a little bit, but that didn’t happen. I think Burnley is proud of today. We weren’t able to get points, but that doesn’t stop us, we’ll keep fighting.”
