After securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Burnley, Manchester United faced a setback with the injuries of two defenders, Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon.

Lisandro Martinez sustained his injury prior to the Burnley vs. Manchester United match and was consequently omitted from coach Erik Ten Hag’s competition registration list.

However, the injury concerns did not end there. Following the conclusion of the Burnley match, Manchester United was dealt another blow as Sergio Reguilon suffered a thigh injury in the middle of the second half. The Spanish defender was unable to continue playing and was substituted by coach Ten Hag, with Raphael Varane taking his place.

In light of Reguilon’s injury, coach Ten Hag had to deploy rookie Amrabat in the left-back position during the final moments of the match in an effort to preserve the lead.

While Manchester United’s 1-0 victory against Burnley provided some relief after three consecutive losses in all competitions, the additional injury setbacks pose challenges for coach Ten Hag.

Throughout the season, Manchester United has grappled with a series of injuries to key players, contributing to their underwhelming performance. The list of sidelined players has included significant names such as Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, and Malacia.
