Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United hangs in the balance as manager Erik ten Hag issued a stern warning following a social media row.
Ten Hag revealed that Sancho is currently training separately from the first-team squad as a consequence of his social media post criticizing the manager. As a result, Sancho will not be part of the squad for the crucial clash against Burnley on Saturday.
Reports suggest that Sancho has not issued an apology to the manager for his outburst, despite deleting the controversial social media post. Whether or not Sancho will return to play for United remains uncertain.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Ten Hag emphasized that Sancho’s future at the club depends on the player’s actions. He stated, “It depends on him. For the rest, we are preparing for Burnley, and that’s our focus. He will not be in the squad.”
While Sancho and Antony continue to be absent from the squad for non-sporting reasons, Ten Hag received a boost with the return of four key players to training. Sofyan Amrabat, who is on loan, midfielder Mason Mount, and defenders Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane are all progressing toward full fitness after recovering from their respective injuries. There is a possibility that they may feature from the bench in the Burnley match.
