The moment Pep Guardiola was unhappy with Ederson’s handling was captured by the camera

When Manchester City played Crvena Zvezda in the first game of the Champions League group stage, Ederson dared to do a “Cruyff turn” that sent Pep Guardiola into a tailspin.

The Brazilian goalie attempted to handle a very risky ball while under pressure from an attacking attacker right in the home yard, to the Spanish coach’s apparent chagrin.

After Julian Alvarez tied the game for Man City in the 47th minute, the score was 1-1 at that point.

Guardiola is known for encouraging his players to take chances while in possession of the ball, but it was obvious that Ederson was nervous because of his recent errors.

Fortunately, Ederson’s daring handling did not cause a problem as Man City finally overcame Crvena Zvezda to win 3-1 due to goals from Rodri and Julian Alvarez in the second half.

The Citizens will take on RB Leipzig in the following game in the Champions League group stage.
