Revealed: Ten Hag can no longer control ‘Man United dressing room’ as stars rebel and have tempers

Man United stars are growing increasingly disenchanted by Erik ten Hag’s methods, sources have told Football Insider

Fingers have been pointed at the club’s hierarchy following a series of off-field issues including the handling of Mason Greenwood and Antony.

But the training ground is also said by well-placed sources to be a far from happy place and there is a feeling Ten Hag is “losing the dressing room”.

The Dutch manager is struggling to implement his strict plans on the pitch amid fears he is struggling to get the best out of players.

Observers have noted in recent matches how some stars have been “freestyling” rather than adhering to the roles specifically given to them.

It has led to a dressing room divide on the back of a wretched start to the new campaign in which performances have been even worse than results suggest.

Tempers have frayed behind the scenes and Ten Hag is struggling to get the best out of many of his players.

United have lost three out of five games to leave them 13th in the Premier League and are already nine points behind leaders Man City.

This comes after the club spent £178million on four new signings in the summer, including £72million on Rasmus Hojlund.

Football Insider revealed how frozen-out Harry Maguire stormed out of Old Trafford within minutes of the final whistle following last Saturday’s 3-1 humbling defeat to Brighton.

Meanwhile, there is concern inside and outside of the club by the influence of Ten Hag’s agent Kees Vos over transfers with his agency behind the Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat transfers.
