Liverpool fans ‘got ants in pants’ about Salah’s future as PSG initially agreed to Saudi Arabia bid for Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe and the transfer show are back for another summer, and Liverpool fans have every reason to be worried now that PSG has accepted a huge bid of £259 million.

Football is in a bad place.

Saudi Arabia is trying to steal players one by one. Most of the players they have tried to get are past their prime, like Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, but Mbappe does not fit that mold.

The Frenchman told PSG earlier this summer that he wouldn’t sign a contract extension past 2024. This means that the club needs to sell him this summer or risk losing him for free next year.

Few clubs could afford him, but Sky Sports says that Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal has made a crazy bid of £259 million, which PSG has accepted.

Mbappe is now free to talk to Al-Hilal. The 24-year-old hasn’t shown any signs yet that he wants to move, but Liverpool fans have been made aware of this.

Why? Mohamed Salah. Liverpool’s No. 11 has been linked to PSG every time Mbappe makes us suffer through a summer story, and if the Ligue 1 team gets £259 million, there will be more talk.

Fans are already putting things together…

The Saudi Pro League’s money is throwing the market off and changing the way football is played, and not for the better.

Salah is under contract with Liverpool until 2025, so taking him away won’t be cheap. However, PSG could soon have the money to lure him away.

We don’t know if Salah or the club would be open to such ideas, especially since the season starts in just a few weeks, but it could now be a place to watch.

Neymar was the first player to make everyone’s price go up, and if Mbappe moves for £259 million, which would be a world record, Salah wouldn’t be the only rock to fall; he could be just one of many in a sport that has changed so much it’s hard to recognize.
