Just a couple of months into his stint at Real Madrid and Jude Bellingham is already a fan favorite.
The 20-year-old has made a sensational start to life at the Spanish capital club and has played a huge part in the club sitting atop the La Liga standings, with five wins in five.
Bellingham has already scored five goals for the Merengues and also has an assist to go along with it.
In light of his blistering start at Real Madrid, the England international was awarded the La Liga Player of the Month Award for August, along with the club’s.
Following his successful start, Bellingham spoke to the club’s media channels about his stint so far with the Merengues.
The perfect start
Opening up on how things have gone for him so far, Bellingham said: ‘It’s a great honor for me to have started the way I have. To receive the support and love from the fans during and after the games means a lot to me, and I’m very happy to be here.’
Talking about his and the team’s start to the 2023/24 campaign, the England international stated that it has been perfect so far and the players must keep working hard to prolong it.
‘It’s been a perfect start, five wins out of five, and it’s important that we continue like this. With the support of the fans and the quality of the players, if we continue like this, we will be on the right track,’ he said.
Best memory so far
It has not been very long since Bellingham joined Real Madrid, but he has already made some special memories, scoring match-winning goals and stepping up in crucial moments for the team.
But when asked to pick the best memory so far as a Real Madrid player, the midfield sensation selected his Bernabeu debut against Getafe earlier this month.
‘I’ll take the first game at the Bernabeu, even though it was already in the next month. I think the best thing is playing for this club and getting used to everything,’ Bellingham exclaimed.
‘It has been the best thing. Playing and getting used to everyone’s style. Every day here is a joy, and I hope it continues to be like this’.
