Swisshorn Gold Palace, the city’s most opulent hotel, is a golden haven in the center of Hong Kong. 100% pure gold is used as the coating

Where does luxury start and wealth end? Where do “expensive” and “luxurious” begin and end? It is not a concern for Lam Sai-wing, the CEO of the jewelry manufacturer Hang Fung Gold Technology. He once had the notion that everything he touched had to be made of pure gold.

The Golden House of Hong Kong

Based on that idea, the business constructed an upscale hotel in the early 2000s that has a gold-plated interior. Hong Kong is home to the Swisshorn Gold Palace Hotel.

The hotel was constructed with business needs in mind. It took five years to design and build, using two tons of gold worth $38 million.

Opulence for $3

The Golden House charges $28000 for a single night. A three-dollar tour of the space is all you have to pay, but taking photos is an added expense. In order to protect the 650 square meter room’s golden floor from scratches, visitors must put on shoe covers before entering.

There are 14K gold leaf ceiling-to-floor coverings in every room. Gold is used in the construction of interior furnishings, doors, and windows. The silverware and dishes are fashioned of gold, and the hotel’s mirrors and chandeliers sparkle.

Rarely do visitors spend the night at the renowned hotel. In essence, it serves as a location for weddings and business gatherings. 3000 tourists visit the Golden House each day.

The enterprise with communist roots

Lam Sai-wing was raised in a low-income family in mainland China.

The jeweler relocated to Hong Kong when he was 21. He acquired a modest shop after working hard for a while, and over time, he got extremely wealthy. His first noteworthy undertaking was a 24-karat gold-decorated restroom. It took 13 million pounds to build. It enjoyed enormous popularity among visitors.

Lam understood right away that the greatest option is gold. The corporation has been damaged by the 2008 financial crisis, however, the price of gold has greatly increased. The situation was obviously improved by the rise in gold’s price.

The Hong Kong millionaire loves gold because it gives him wealth, limitless spiritual power, and life force. What gold project will come next?
