During Mason Greenwood’s debut for Getafe on Sunday, Amad Diallo appeared to publicly demonstrate his support for Greenwood, who is on loan from Manchester United.
After joining Getafe on loan over the summer, the 21-year-old finally got to play in a Spanish league game, coming off the bench in the 77th minute of a 3-2 victory over Osasuna.
While on the winning side, the former England international heard “Greenwood, Ԁie” cries from some visiting Osasuna fans. La Liga has promised to look into the matter.
Amad, a winger for Manchester United, appeared to back Greenwood after he made his debut for Getafe. Amad shared a clip on Instagram showing Greenwood being brought into the game as a substitute, captioning it with two heart emojis. After Nemanja Maksimovic tied the game with a goal off a corner kιck, Greenwood had a hand in the game-winning goal by having an attempt on goal stopped.
After a six-month internal investigation concluded, United decided to let Greenwood leave, and on September 1, he signed a season-long loan with Getafe. The next time we see Getafe in La Liga action will be the following week when they take on Real Sociedad.
Thomas Tuchel forbidden from touchline for Champions League opener vs Manchester United
The Manchester Evening News reports that Tuchel will serve a one-game touchline ban when Manchester United travels to Bavaria. I’m sure he’ll have a better perspective than we will at the Allianz Arena.
The 2023–24 Champions League season for the Reds will begin with a matchup against Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich. Despite coming into the game with issues of their own, both teams end up with the same score.
Bayern are heavy favorites on Wednesday despite the absence of Tuchel from the sidelines, as they have collected 10 points from four Bundesliga games while United has struggled to open the season.Bayern’s 1-1 draw with Man City in the Champions League final match of the 2017–18 season resulted in a one-game punishment for Tuchel, which he must now serve this season.
Tuchel will be sitting in the grandstand, but he will be able to visit his team’s locker room and talk to his coaches and players.
It seems like a weak prohibition to me.
Leave a comment below and tell us what you think United’s chances are against Bayern. We get if you’ve felt like your reserves of hope have been depleted in the past few weeks.
