The 23-year-old Man City player, according to Phil Foden, is ‘wild’ to play with and “so demanding.”

What Phil Foden enjoys most about playing with Erling Haaland at Manchester City has been expressed.

After winning the treble at the end of the previous season, the pair are in the first few weeks of their second season at the Etihad Stadium.

But as of late, Foden has been candid about what it’s like to play with the Norwegian and what he finds most enjoyable.

Haaland enjoys playing with Foden.
In a recent interview with Football Focus, Foden had the following to say regarding Haaland and his on-field actions.

I adore the way he is, he said. I adore how ambitious he is and how young he still is. He never settles for being content with who he is.

“Unless he beats his own record, I don’t think we’ll ever see what he did last year. He has such high standards for himself, so if we can spot him in those places, we can be sure he will always be in the correct place. Playing with someone this talented is a pleasure because of his goal-scoring instinct.

Haaland scored 52 goals in 53 outings the season before, including 36 in the 35 Premier League games he played in.

This all supports what Foden mentioned about the 23-year-old striker having an instinct for scoring goals, as evidenced by his six goals in four league games this season.

The two have combined for seven joint goals in 45 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team, all of which came in the previous season.

Given this information, it is safe to assume that Foden will be hoping to assist the talented center-forward more often this season, especially with Kevin De Bruyne out injured.

Haaland and Foden will offer City a strong opportunity to win back the championships they won last season if they can continue to play well together and consistently provide goals for one another.
