Before making his loan switch to Getafe, Mason Greenwood was encouraged by Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham to ‘come to Spain’

According to Jose Bordalas, manager of Los Azulones, Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham encouraged Mason Greenwood to make his loan move to Getafe.

Many were taken aback when Manchester United’s Greenwood, who had been banished by the Red Devils, showed up on loan at Getafe on the final day of the transfer market. Since January of 2022, when photographs and videos of Greenwood reportedly forcing sеx on his partner surfaced, he has not played. She also showed off bruises and cuts she said Greenwood gave her.

“It was a surprise, we never thought we could get a player like that,” Bordalas said to RadioMarca.

They reached out to our sporting director Ruben Reyes, and after some back-and-forth we came to the conclusion that it was financially impossible for the two teams to join forces.

Without Bellingham’s assistance, this agreement may not have been possible.

Bellingham is a buddy of Greenwood’s, and Greenwood encouraged Bellingham to join the Spanish league.

Despite his notoriety, Greenwood has been welcomed with open arms at Getafe.

“He’s a great player. He hasn’t played in over a year and a half, so you’ll need to take things slowly and calmly. We’re assisting him alongside his coworkers. He’s assimilating wonderfully, and I’m optimistic that he’ll be of use to us.

Greenwood was described as a “Golden Boy,” and Bordalas agreed. Bellingham and Greenwood’s relationship will be tested further now that Greenwood has moved to Madrid with his partner. The Getafe manager also sidestepped questions on when Greenwood would return to action, saying it was too soon.
