The startling rationale for Sancho’s expulsion from the first team: a report

Jadon Sancho, a standout for Manchester United, was barred from the first team after refusing to apologize to Erik ten Hag.

After the Arsenal game on September 3, Ten Hag told reporters that Sancho’s performance in training did not warrant a call-up to the matchday squad.

Sancho retaliated by issuing a highly written statement in which he essentially called Ten Hag a liar and asserted that he was being used as a scapegoat.

Throughout the international break, the crisis has continued to rage.

Sancho has been suspended from the first squad and will practice alone until the disciplinary matter is resolved, United officially confirmed earlier today.

The 23-year-old is not set to play a part in Saturday’s match against Brighton for his team.

It was previously revealed that United had made the decision to move Sancho and get rid of the Englishman as soon as the winter transfer window opened in January after holding initial clear-the-air meetings.

Sancho reportedly declined to apologize to Ten Hag, according to an update from The Athletic.

The club is now considering action because the England international failed to apologize to the manager after being requested to do so.

The Red Devils declined to respond when contacted by the media.

According to reports, CEO Richard Arnold directed club football director John Murtough to intervene in order to defuse the heated situation.

Erik ten Hag wants Jadon Sancho to apologize before he can resume working out with the rest of the first team group, according to Sky Sports.

Ten Hag is once again exercising his authority and putting his foot down in the Sancho scenario.
