Jadon Sancho REFUSED to apologise to Erik ten Hag after been asked to as he trains away from the Manchester United first-team

Following his social media outburst, Sancho will continue to work on a “personal training programme” away from the first squad.

According to a statement released by Manchester United, “Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.”

After being publically called out by Ten Hag following his team’s humiliating 3-1 loss to Arsenal, he has since erased his statement from social media.’

When questioned why the player wasn’t included in the matchday squad, he responded, “On his performance on training we didn’t select him.” Every day at Manchester United, you must perform at a high level. It’s possible to pick and choose up front, and he wasn’t chosen for this match.

The Athletic reports that Sancho has been ‘essentially banned from first-team training’ and will not be available for selection. He’ll be using the club’s academy to hone his skills.

Until this situation is resolved, he will not play for his club this Saturday at Old Trafford when they take on Brighton.

Jadon Sancho has deleted his statement calling out Erik ten Hag

Ten Hag stated after United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates that Sancho, although being physically capable of playing, was not included in the matchday squad because he had not performed well enough in training.

“We didn’t select him,” the Dutchman said.

The manager said, “You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United, and we can make choices on the frontline, so for this game he wasn’t selected.”

Sancho, who was signed for £73 million in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund, resorted to X (then known as Twitter) to dispute his manager’s statements and add that he has “been a scapegoat.”

Don’t put too much stock in what you read! Sancho said in a post on his phone notes, “I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.”

I think there are other causes for this situation that I won’t get into; it’s not fair that I’ve been made the scapegoat for so long.

My only goal is to make positive contributions to the squad while having fun playing football. I appreciate the opportunity to compete each week alongside such talented individuals and respect the coaching staff’s judgment in all matters. No matter what, I will not stop figҺting for this badge.Sancho made a lengthy statement, but as of Tuesday, September 12th, following a flurry of reports on his future, the post has been removed from his profile.Sancho’s most recent upload is dated August 6—after United’s final preseason game against Athletic Club at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland—suggesting that the message was removed from his pinned post.

On the day when the Saudi Pro League transfer window closed, Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq made an approach for Sancho. However, no agreement was reached.

Dortmund, where he previously played, has been mentioned, but they can’t afford his salary demands. United supporters are not happy that Sancho and teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka spent the international break vacationing in New York.
