After many transfers fell through this summer, Man United manager Erik ten Hag has added Donny van de Beek in his 25-man Premier League team for the 2023–24 season.
The 26-year-old was expected to leave Manchester United before the current season but has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford after moving there for £35 million from Ajax in 2020.
The Mirror reports that Ten Hag now has Van de Beek in his 25-man Premier League squad for the 2023–24 season, despite the player being linked to Real Sociedad and Fenerbahce.
The Dutch player has yet to be named to a single matchday squad in the league this season, so this will come as a surprise move from the Man United manager.Van de Beek is not a member of Man United’s Champions League roster, and his placement in the top 25 players for the Premier League is not expected to alter his standing at Old Trafford. In his three years in Manchester, the Dutch star has only started six Premier League games, and that number is not set to rise any time soon.
The 26-year-old will probably leave Manchester United in January, and everyone involved will be hoping to close a deal this time.
