Sad news: An ιnjury to Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez is cause for concern with Klopp

Early on Saturday morning, Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the Premier League.

In both of Uruguay’s World Cup qualifying games this week, Nunez began up front, but he was substituted out at halftime of their loss to Ecuador.

After the game, Uruguayan manager Marcelo Bielsa explained that Nunez was substituted off owing to muscular pаin.

According to Bielsa, Nunez was taken out of the game early because he was unable to keep up with the team’s press because of the ongoing problem.

Given Liverpool’s аggressive approach, which is predicated mostly on heavy pressing, that will provide Klopp with a dilemma.

After scoring twice off the bench in the Reds’ 2-1 win at Newcastle United, Nunez replaced Cody Gakpo in the starting lineup for the match against Aston Villa.Gakpo has been in fine form for the Netherlands this week, scoring in both of their Euro 2024 qualifiers. He is the most probable option to return to the starting lineup.

Diogo Jota also scored for Portugal in their 9–0 rout of Luxembourg, which he used as an opportunity to push for more playing time.

Liverpool have lost three more players to international service in South America this week in addition to Nunez’s ιnjury.

Alisson, Alexis Mac Allister, and Luis Diaz were all required to play on Tuesday night for CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying, thus their fitness levels will also be evaluated.

It’s been increasingly usual in recent years for players to begin games onLiverpool would be severely reduced if they lost another three starters at the outset before their return to league play.

Virgil van Dijk will be unavailable because his one-game suspension for bad conduct following his red card against Newcastle has been extended.

Another defensive duo, Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold, had to cancel their international meetup owing to injuries.

Alexander-Arnold may miss the trip to Wolves, while Konate is hopeful of returning after being taken out with 20 minutes left against Aston Villa before halftime.

Although Klopp stated that the right back left the game due to a slight hamstring ιnjury, scan results have not been made public, thus Alexander-Arnold’s status is now unknown.
