Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has utterly revolutionized the sport. All parties involved in his first signing last summer thought he would be successful. Nobody, however, had projected that he would set a new Premier League goalscoring record, win the treble under Pep Guardiola, and receive a Ballon d’Or nomination.
Having said that, all eyes are on the promising kid. He is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after athletes in the world since he virtually ensures goals everywhere he plays. Pep Guardiola, his coach, will undoubtedly want to keep him at Manchester City.
Barcelona will satisfy Erling Haaland’s £150 million release clause from Manchester City.
A startling revelation from 90min claims that Erling Haaland’s current contract has a release clause that will go into effect in 2025. When this date is reached, Haaland will be allowed to leave for a predetermined fee, but it is not oriented towards a particular team. Barcelona is prepared to pay the predetermined amount, which is said to be over £150 million.
Robert Lewandowski recently decided against accepting a lucrative contract elsewhere and instead pledged to attempt to win titles with Barcelona. Lewandowski is only a temporary solution for Barcelona, though, as he recently turned 35. Erling Haaland is therefore considered to be the future number 9 for them.
Manchester City will make every effort to get their talisman Haaland a new deal. He currently appears content to be working for Pep Guardiola. But as we all know, nothing is ever certain, and it’s difficult to say no when Barcelona knocks.
It is understood that Manchester City is interested in Evan Ferguson. Erling Haaland was supposed to be his future partner, but if the Norwegian robot decides to sign with Barcelona, Ferguson may have huge shoes to fill.
