Hannibal Mejbri joined Hamza Rafia in mocking Mo Salah’s goal celebration

As Tunisia defeated Egypt 2-1 in a friendly on Tuesday night, a teenage player for Manchester United named Hannibal Mejbri appeared to poke fun at Mo Salah’s goal celebration.

A goal from Assa Ladouni and an own goal from Hamdi Fathi helped the visitors to a 3-1 victory in Cairo. Omar Kamal scored a goal for Egypt in the first half, but Hamza Rafia scored in the final seconds of regulation time to give Tunisia the win.

Hannibal joined Rafia in imitating the yoga stance Salah does to celebrate goals in spectacular fashion after Tunisia’s victory.

The Liverpool forward is seen celebrating in front of his fans by standing with his hands clasped and his left leg raised to the knee of his right leg.

‘The Tree’ is a classic yoga posture that emphasizes stability and roots the practitioner.

Salah played the full 90 minutes on Tuesday night, but the Tunisia defense was able to keep him quiet. With around 10 minutes left in the game, Hannibal came off the bench to earn his 26th cap for Tunisia.

The Eagles of Carthage, which the 20-year-old began for on Thursday night, won 3-0 over Botswana in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to tie for first place in Group J with Equatorial Guinea.

Meanwhile, Egypt won Group A with 15 points out of a potential 18 after their 1-0 victory over Ethiopia on Friday.

Both squads were assured of a spot in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament, which will get off in Ivory Coast next month.

A big figure for United in preseason, Hannibal spent last year on loan at Birmingham and made 41 appearances across all competitions.

The Tunisian was left on the bench for the 3-1 loss away to Arsenal before the international break, but it doesn’t look like he’ll get many opportunities at Old Trafford with Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount, and Sofyan Amrabat ahead of him.

United reportedly turned down a loan deal from Besiktas for the 20-year-old defender Hannibal this week, but Erik ten Hag seems set on keeping him at Old Trafford, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
