Update: Man United finalizes lineup to face Brighton

When the Premier League resumes and the Champions League gets underway the next week, Manchester United might start with a new-look lineup.

Manchester United is a complex place. Even as his second season is barely getting started, manager Erik ten Hag is already becoming aware of this.

Ten Hag will discover that his choices on the right wing have changed when club football resumes because of the circumstances surrounding Antony, which led United to disclose the winger has taken a leave of absence.

Following several last-minute transactions on the day of the transfer deadline, Ten Hag also has a few recent additions to consider for selection.

The finest lineup for Manchester United at the timeRaphael Varane and Luke Shaw are now absent from Manchester United’s best lineup because they both still have a few weeks of recovery time.

With the same starting back four from against Arsenal and Manchester United’s finest goalkeeper, the options in defense are limited.

Andre Onana is the goalkeeper, and Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are the central defenders. The two best full-back alternatives for United are still Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot, with Sergio Reguilon serving as a backup.

Sofyan Amrabat, a recent addition to Manchester United, will soon be ready to start alongside Casemiro in midfield. After withdrawing as a precaution from the international matches, the Moroccan must undergo fitness tests.

The problem with Antony then arises. Facundo Pellistri is a possibility, but Bruno Fernandes has more experience and has held the role before. Going on vacation to Bayern is a safer option.

Additionally, this frees up a spot for Christian Eriksen to play attacking midfield, where Mason Mount might fill in if healthy.

Rasmus Hojlund in the center and Marcus Rashford on the left would round out the lineup, with Alejandro Garnacho serving as a backup option. Jadon Sancho’s future is still uncertain.

Additional harm recursMason Mount is about to make a comeback, according to The Athletic, who also claims that the former Chelsea player is aiming for a return against Bayern Munich and only has a slim chance of making the team against Brighton.

Young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is another talent who is not too far behind. The adolescent has been out since suffering a knee injury during the preseason.
