Real Madrid has a contingency plan in case Kylian Mbappe decides to remain at PSG beyond next summer. Despite his public disagreements with PSG and refusing to sign a new contract, Mbappe’s future remains uncertain with less than a year left on his current deal.
Real Madrid, long linked with Mbappe, might not have room in their team for the 24-year-old due to other signings like Jude Bellingham and Vinicus Jr. Therefore, they have identified potential options, with Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez being considered.
Alvarez, in his second season at City after joining from River Plate, had a strong first campaign with 17 goals in all competitions and has already scored twice this season. While he has a long-term contract at City, he faces competition from Erling Haaland.
Considering Haaland’s prolific goal-scoring record, Real Madrid, who lost Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad this year, may see Alvarez as an attractive option given his international experience with Argentina.
