Manchester United holds solutions for Sancho and Antony struggles

Manchester United faces challenges with Jadon Sancho and Antony, but the solutions may already lie within their squad. Both Sancho and Antony have recently been at the center of unwanted attention. Sancho was omitted from the United squad against Arsenal due to manager Erik ten Hag’s dissatisfaction with his training performances.

In response to the manager’s comments, Sancho released a statement defending himself, denying the allegations made by Ten Hag. He stated, “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself well in training this week.”

“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair.”

Meanwhile, Antony is reportedly the subject of a police investigation regarding allegations of domestic violence made by his ex-girlfriend. However, Antony has refuted any wrongdoing in an online statement. He stated, “Out of respect for my fans, friends, and family, I feel obligated to publicly address the false accusations I have been a victim of.”

“From the beginning, I have taken this issue seriously and with respect, providing the necessary clarifications to the police authorities. The police inquiry is under the cloak of justice, and therefore, I cannot disclose its content.” With both players facing uncertain futures, United fans may be concerned about their lack of attacking depth.

However, a solution may already exist within the United squad. Youngster Amad Diallo has impressed many with his performances, particularly during his loan spell with Rangers. During the 2022/2023 season, Diallo was loaned to Championship side Sunderland, where he played 42 matches and scored 14 goals.

The 21-year-old is currently recovering from a knee injury sustained during United’s pre-season tour. While it remains unclear when Diallo will return to the pitch, he is certainly a player to watch for the future.
