On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the host Washington Nationals 7-3 to win the last game of a three-game series. James Outman had a home run and Miguel Rojas had four hits.
For Los Angeles, Freddie Freeman, Jason Heyward, and Austin Barnes each collected two hits, and Max Muncy and Freeman both drove in two runs.
The 87-55 Dodgers finished a 3-3 road trip that got underway in Miami.
The Nationals (64-79) went 2-7 in their final nine games at home. Ildemaro Vargas and rookie Jacob Young each had two hits for Washington, who tallied nine singles.
Like the preceding two games, this one was halted by rain. This one occurred with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the fifth inning, Los Angeles leading 5-2. The delays in the series totaled roughly seven hours.
After a strong start for the Dodgers on the mound from Ryan Yarbrough, the game was abandoned. He struck out five in four innings while allowing two runs on five hits and no walks.

Drew Millas, a rookie catcher for Washington, hit two runs home in the fourth inning to score.
In the fifth, the Dodgers scored two more runs thanks to sacrifice flies from Barnes and Rojas. In the sixth, Enrique Hernandez doubled in Freeman.
In the sixth inning, the Nationals loaded the bases with one out, setting themselves up for a big inning. Young’s infield single allowed one run to score despite Jake Alu striking out. The inning was ended by a pop out from Lane Thomas.
