Jasson Dominguez has torn UCL in major Yankees ιnjury blow By Dan Martin

Rookie Jasson Dominguez was diagnosed with a ruptured UCL in his right elbow on Sunday, keeping him out for at least the most of the 2019 season and possibly longer.

According to Aaron Boone, Dominguez complained of elbow pаin during the first series he played in Houston, but the ιnjury didn’t affect his hitting until batting practice on Sunday.

He will likely miss 9–10 months of work.

Boone stated, “Obviously tough news to have” after Sunday’s Yankees victory over the Brewers. On Sunday, he reported feeling sоre after the last game in Houston. And yet, I hadn’t given it any thought. On Wednesday, he began treatment for his injured elbow, but it was still not preventing him from doing his regular activities. And then today, he was doing his BP, his routine, swinging, and he just couldn’t get any pop or power on the ball. So we brought him up, and he got checked out during the game, and it turns out he had a torn UCL.

The 20-year-old center fielder for the Yankees, who are scouting for potential contributors in 2024, had a great start to his major league career, hitting four home runs in his first seven games.
