Texas Rangers’ victory stops their bleeding in the playoff race

On Saturday, the Texas Rangers defeated the Oakland Athletics 3-2 to give themselves a boost in the American League playoff chase.

The Rangers had to end a four-game losing streak, and despite the situation, they succeeded. Texas didn’t receive everything it could have wished for on Saturday, but the Rangers will take what they can get after blowing a significant opportunity to reduce the gap on Friday.

The Mariners lost, the Astros won, and the AL Wild Card race became a little more competitive.

Below is an update on the race, including the standings at the moment, the necessary points to capture the AL West and a Wild Card spot, as well as the remaining schedules for the teams still in contention.
