Los Angeles’ Rookie Brҽaks Franchise Record on Thursday Night

Randal Grichuk Һit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Angels a 3-2 victory against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday night.

The Angels won, and because to Nolan Schanuel, they made history in the process.

The rookie went 1-for-4 and now has reached base safely in 16 consecutive games. This is the longest career on-base streak for an Angels player.

After Tuesday’s Angels game, the following message surfaced, indicating that he had tied the record. It was reported by the AP.

After making his major league debut on August 18, Nolan Schanuel went 1 for 4 and tied an Angels record by reaching base safely in each of his first 15 games. In 1996, Darin Erstad got on base in each of his first 15 games played.

This notice also came out after Wednesday, bringing the total number of consecutive wins to 16.

In a second half that has seen the Angels collapse from wild card hopefuls to 11 games under.500, Schanuel has been one of the few bright lights.

He was taken in the first round this year out of Florida Atlantic and immediately tҺrust into the majors. With a.283 batting average, he has more than held his own. However, he has not yet Һit a home run.

The Angels have dropped to 65-76, and they’ll host the Guardians again on Friday.

Logan Allen (CLE) will take the mound against Griffin Canning (LAA) at 9:38 p.m. ET.
