Celia Sawyer doesn’t appear to be your typical interior designer as she staggers out of her large Sandbanks home wearing five-inch rainbow heels, a skin-tight silver skirt, and a purple chiffon blouse that has been slit so low I fear she could have put it on backwards.
She is more Barbie than Carol Smillie with her blonde hair, doll-like waist, and deep mahogany tan (‘Straight from the bottle, she admits), and frequently gets pursued down the street by pre-teen girls who think she is.
In actuality, Celia, 50, is a wealthy entrepreneur who has made millions through the interiors business she founded ten years ago. She does unique interior design, though.
Celia only serves the super-rich, including sheiks with billion-pound ships to decorate, oligarchs who want their jets blinged out, and Premier League football players whose houses need a fresh coat of paint. Forget flatpack furniture and a jar of Dulux.
