Due to an unidentified ailment, Manchester United star Sofyan Amrabat has left the Morocco national squad.
On Tuesday, a match to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations will take place between Morocco and Liberia.
Amrabat’s examination led to some suspicion that United had discovered a back problem, but this was immediately refuted, and the midfielder was permitted to join the Atlas Lions for international duty.
However, if a statement from the Moroccan Football Federation is any indication, the player appears to have suffered a physical setback.
Amrabat will no longer be a part of Walid Regragui’s team on this schedule, according to the North African nation’s football governing body.
Yahya Gibran, a player for the Wydad Sports Club, has been invited by Mr. Walid Regragui to train with the national squad as it gets ready for its two upcoming games against Liberia in Agadir and Burkina Faso in Lens, France.
Yahya Jeeran was called to the national team by head coach Walid Regragui to take the place of injured Sofiane Amrabat.
On the other hand, the national team will travel to Agadir tomorrow, Friday, when it will hold its final practice before the game against Liberia, which will be held the following day, Saturday.
Concerned United supporters who may have begun to worry that Amrabat’s official debut might be postponed may find some solace, though.
Izem Anass, a Moroccan journalist, claims that Amrabat’s injury is not severe.
His departure from the national team is merely preventative.
The 27-year-old is anticipated to return to Manchester as he gets ready to suit up for his new team against Brighton on September 16.
