Sofyan Amrabat signed a contract with MU on loan from Fiorentina on the last day of the summer market this year, the contract allows the Red Devils to buy the Moroccan player permanently next summer. Amrabat was Fiorentina’s mainstay last season, he also played prominently in the 2022 World Cup.
The player born in 1996 is a defensive midfielder with a strong physical background and good judgment, if he plays next to Casemiro, he will help the Old Trafford team’s midfield be much stronger.
In a recent interview, Sofyan Amrabat named many MU players he admires. He said: “I think MU has many excellent players. I pay more attention to midfielders like Paul Scholes, Roy Keane or David Beckham.”
“Those are all the best midfielders in the world, they have brought many big titles to the club. I have watched a lot of videos of these players, they are really at a very high level. Also worth mentioning are Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo. I can continue to name other MU players for another hour.”
Sofyan Amrabat will wait to make his MU debut after the national team gathering. Accordingly, the Red Devils will host Brighton at home on September 16. Currently, the Old Trafford team is not starting well, they won 2 but also had to receive 2 defeats after the first 4 rounds.
