Marcus Rashford has been given the 2022–23 PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award

In celebration of a spectacular season in which he scored 30 goals across all competitions and helped the Reds finish third in the standings, the Academy graduate defeated opposition from his Premier League counterparts to win another honor.

After the England international won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year at our own awards dinner, fans had their say on the result to add to the individual accolades he had already received.

Following Cristiano Ronaldo (2007 and 2008) and Wayne Rooney (2006 and 2010), who have won it twice, Rashford is just the third United player to hoist this trophy.

Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard of Arsenal, and Harry Kane of Tottenham, who will now be representing Bayern Munich when we play the Bundesliga heavyweights in the Champions League later this month, were all ahead of him in the voting.

Marcus scored a fantastic goal to open his account for 2023–24 in the unfortunate 3–1 loss at Arsenal on Sunday, emulating his previous season’s goal at the Emirates Stadium.

The 25-year-old is presently in training with England as he and Reds teammate Harry Maguire get ready for the international friendly against Scotland on next Tuesday and the European Championship qualifier against Ukraine on Saturday.

From everyone at United, again, congratulations to you on your well-deserving honor!
