Casemiro’s words to Rasmus Hojlund after the Brazilian snatched his shirt against Arsenal have been made public.
The Gunners inflicted two late goals on Manchester United to steal all three points before the new striker for Manchester United came off the bench in the second half of the game.
Fans, though, saw Hojlund, who this summer joined from Atalanta in a £72 million move, and Casemiro looking to be having a heated disagreement before Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus scored.
The midfielder grabbed the Danish international’s shirt before pushing him away in what appeared to be an attempt to rile him up.
Hojlund has since indicated that his new teammate was delighted with the boost to the Red Devils’ offense that he had provided after replacing Antony Martial.
Man United’s summer acquisition was quoted by The Sun as saying: “He [Casemiro] just murmured something in Spanish, ‘vamos’ or something like.
He was pleased that I provided the team a dynamic that was perhaps a little different from what Martial brings to the table.
He looks down the gaps where I like to take the fights and may be a little stronger technically.
He told me he was glad to see me play because, after all, he hadn’t seen me perform before.
Hojlund is currently deployed with Denmark for international duty as they compete in the Euro 2024 qualifying matches against San Marino and Finland.
When the Premier League resumes the following week, when Man United hosts Brighton at Old Trafford, fans of Man United will be eager to see what impact he may have.
