When United announces the lineup before their difficult journey to play Bayern Munich for their Group A opener, Garnacho and Mainoo will be among those who are on that list.
After defeating Copenhagen and Galatasaray, Erik ten Hag’s team will aim to have already qualified for the knockout rounds by the time Bayern go to Old Trafford on December 12 for the last group-stage match.
Garnacho, who started two Premier League games this season before shining off the bench against Arsenal, can be counted on to play a significant part in United’s Champions League run.
