When Antony attempted to strike Gabriela Cavallin in the face with a glass, she recalled it as follows:
I had my finger open and was in pain when Anthony shut the entrance to the house and forbade me from leaving. He stole my passport and smashed my belongings. His mother and stepfather even imprisoned him inside the fence-enclosed football court he had set up in his living room.
He threw a football at me and a mobile phone at me as he was agitated and trying to leave the court in any way possible. He declared that he would kill me and then commit suicide.
The United Stand was informed by Antony’s representative, Junior Pedroso:
We are keeping quiet since a police station in So Paulo, Brazil, is conducting an investigation. She cited a number of witnesses, and they are being heard. In order to gather the information as carefully as possible, the investigative procedure calls for extreme caution.
“Antony will not make a decision until justice has rendered a decision on the case, which in our judgment is not in Gabriela’s favor. She consistently emerges in the media when she knows she can influence Antony, as can be seen.
“Two instances of such are the day of his introduction and the day he was called up for the Brazilian national team. However, the facts that have been revealed are the same ones that are being examined during the investigation.
