Sterling did this to Cole Palmer when he arrived in Chelsea

Chelsea has officially announced the acquisition of Cole Palmer from Manchester City, and among the first to greet him at Cobham was his former teammate, Raheem Sterling. Chelsea paid a fee of £42.5 million for the England Under-21 international, and Chelsea’s No.7 ensured a warm welcome for his new teammate upon his arrival at Cobham.

According to Chelsea’s official website, Sterling approached Palmer and warmly embraced him inside Cobham after unexpectedly running into the forward. It’s also reported that Chelsea’s new No.20 and the England international have remained in contact since Sterling’s move from Manchester City to Chelsea in July 2022.

According to the Daily Mail, Sterling was a strong supporter of Palmer during their time together at the Etihad Stadium, regularly offering his support to the 21-year-old.

With a friend like Sterling at Stamford Bridge and a close connection with Noni Madueke, Palmer should have no trouble settling in both socially and on the football pitch. Mauricio Pochettino has a strong track record of developing young talent, having helped players like Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Kyle Walker reach their full potential. This provides a solid foundation for Palmer to excel at Chelsea, and hopefully, he can fulfill his immense potential.
