Enzo Fernandez secures his debut Chelsea goal from beyond the box, propelling them ahead 2-1.
The tide has turned in Chelsea’s favor as Enzo Fernandez found the net, completing a remarkable comeback against Wimbledon.
The sequence unfolded when Marc Cucurella launched a long ball forward, which led to Wimbledon’s goalkeeper charging out to clear it. Unfortunately for them, the ball struck Ian Maatsen, resulting in a double deflection before ultimately landing at the feet of Enzo. Despite the challenging situation, he displayed composure and fired a precise shot from a considerable distance.
While luck may have played a part, the important thing is that we’re now in the lead, and this victory should be relatively straightforward to secure. We didn’t necessarily plan to bring in our star players, but their impact has certainly been instrumental in this turnaround.
