MAN CITY’S GUARDIOLA, HAALAND WIN TOP UEFA AWARDS

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was named the UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year and Erling Haaland walked away with the UEFA Men’s player of the year.

 

Erling Haaland walked away with the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year. It was a hugely successful year for the striker at Manchester City.

He broke the Premier League goal-scoring record with 36 goals in 35 appearances, scoring 52 goals across all competitions.

The UEFA Women’s Player of the Year was awarded to Spain’s Aitana Bonmati.

The midfielder at the FIFA Women’s World Cup was awarded the Golden Ball, for the best player of the tournament, as Spain went on to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.

At club level, Bonmati won the Women’s Spanish league and the Women’s UEFA Champions League.

Sarina Wiegman was named the UEFA Women’s Coach of the Year after leading the English Women’s national team to the World Cup final.
