DONE! Dean Henderson swaps Man Utd for Crystal Palace in £20m deal

Thursday, Crystal Palace announced the acquisition of goalkeeper Dean Henderson from Manchester United.

The Eagles signed the international from England to a five-year contract. In addition to the transfer fee, reports indicate that Crystal Palace will pay Manchester United £20 million ($25 million) in addition to add-ons.

The 26-year-old England international will find a permanent home at Selhurst Park in London under veteran manager Roy Hodgson, following six loan transfers in the previous eight seasons. Henderson concludes his 12-year tenure with Manchester United and initiates a new era in the Premier League.

Henderson stated, “I’m thrilled and ecstatic to be here. I cannot wait to commence. This club has great supporters and a large number of talented, ambitious players. Here, something is being constructed, and I want to be a part of it.”

Sunday’s Premier League home game between Palace and Wolves is a potential debut opportunity for Henderson.
