Man United goalkeeper Dean Henderson’s £20m move to Crystal Palace will be confirmed TODAY with five-year contract agreed

Today, the transfer of Dean Henderson from Manchester United to Crystal Palace, in a deal valued at £20 million, will be finalized.

The keeper finalized the move yesterday after signing a five-year contract. The two teams’ respective announcements are now forthcoming.

United will receive £15m upfront and £5m in add-ons for Henderson, who spent 12 years at Old Trafford and briefly challenged David de Gea for the club’s No 1 position.

United will also have a sell-on clause, as was reported by Mail Sport earlier this week.

After Vicente Guaita was frozen out of the starting goalkeeper role at Crystal Palace, Sam Johnstone is now his biggest competition for the post.

Meanwhile, United are finalizing a £4.3 million transfer for Fenerbahce’s Altay Bayindir to serve as a backup to fellow summer addition Andre Onana.

Henderson was allowed to undergo his physical, and the final phases of the deal moved fast despite the fact that he has been a starter for United this season.

United and Forest discussed a loan deal with an option to buy at the conclusion of the season, but Henderson ended up returning to United.

But after criticizing the club for not making him their first-choice, statements that irritated Erik ten Hag, he effectively burned his bridges at Old Trafford.

Bayindir landed in England over the weekend, and yesterday he met up with his agents in Manchester to finalize the move.

Bayindir, who has been called up to the Turkish national team five times so far, was left on the bench as Fenerbahce defeated Twente 5-1 in the Conference League last week.

United sent representatives to Greece last week to finalize the transfer of Bayindir, who played in 40 games for the club last year.

United is still looking to make a move before the transfer deadline. It has been reported that they have been in contact with Chelsea over a loan move for left back Marc Cucurella.
