As negotiations continue, Fiorentina has indicated that they would be open to a loan agreement with United, but only if United agreed to add a buyout provision.
That offers the Premier League heavyweights reason to believe an agreement is achievable, but they still have to hurry up and do it before the transfer market closes on Friday.
Amrabat wants to get to Old Trafford desperately and has ceased practising with the Fiorentina first team to facilitate the transfer.
The 27-year-old is now training alone, but will likely return to Vincenzo Italiano’s squad if a deal is unable to be negotiated.
After shining for Morocco all the way to the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar last year, the defensive midfielder has received significant interest from the best clubs in Europe.
There is a one-year extension clause in his present deal that might be exercised next year.
United currently have the upper hand in negotiations for Amrabat, despite interest from Liverpool.
United, meanwhile, is clearing up some playing time in the middle of the field by loaning out-of-favor Donny van de Beek to Lorient of Ligue 1.
