Mercedes-Benz, the top luxury automobile manufacturer in Germany, recently unveiled the Biome concept car, which will compete in the exhibition’s Design Challenges competition. It boasts an amazing exterior design and numerous cutting-edge, environmentally friendly technological elements. Los Angeles Auto Show this year.
The annual Los Angeles Auto Show will once again feature Design Challenges, a design contest for future automobile models. This competition has new criteria each year, and this year’s designers must create a 4-seat vehicle that is also distinctive, practical, cozy, and secure. Although it must weigh less than 453.6kg, it can move on the street.
Honda Air by Honda Advanced Design Studio, Pasadena, CA; MX-0 by Mazda Design Americas; Cadillac Aera by General Motors Advanced Design California; and many other manufacturers have entered this year’s competition with several original works. Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Center California also sends along the fantastic Biome product, which includes an excellent design and numerous eco-friendly technological elements.
The front of the automobile, body, wheels, and other exterior components of Biome are all one cohesive, inseparable unit. The car weighs only 394kg and is 4,020mm long and 2,500mm broad since it has a unique synthetic plant fiber frame.
Hubert Lee, who also worked on the second-generation CLS and F800, took charge of overseeing the entire design process for the aforementioned vehicle.
“This car is actually green because it is powered by sunlight. Compared to automobiles built from needles, the car body is substantially lighter because it is made of biofiber. The automobile still performs well, though, according to a Mercedes-Benz representative.
