Joao Cancelo officially joins Spanish club Barcelona from Manchester City with the words “Here we go.”

Fabrizio Romano said that Joao Cancelo is prepared to finalize his transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona, confirming what has been known for some time.

The international player from Portugal, 29, lost his job at Manchester City and spent the second part of the last campaign on loan at Bayern Munich.

Back at the Etihad, his departure was unavoidable this summer, and Barcelona had been pushing hard with protracted negotiations.

Let’s begin!

An agreement on a financing transaction with a purchase option worth €25 million that will be activated upon the accomplishment of certain goals marked the end of the negotiations earlier this month.

Despite having everything in order, the operation was temporarily put on hold this past week because of Barça’s Financial Fair Play problem.

However, now that everything appears to be in order, the two clubs are exchanging documents to be signed today, with Romano putting his distinctive “Here we go” seal on the deal.

In fact, Cancelo, who is presently in Portugal, is prepared to fly to Barcelona tonight to complete the loan transfer, according to Romano.

The Portuguese international’s medical has been planned for tomorrow, says Gerard Romero.

expected to arrive last.

The addition of Cancelo will be a significant help for Barcelona, who have been struggling to find a right-back for some time.

Sergi Roberto, who started at right-back against Villarreal only last night, struggled greatly defensively as the Blaugrana. Even manager Xavi reprimanded the club captain as a result of it.

Cancelo has an extensive amount of experience playing on the greatest platform and is a proven performer at the highest level. He has played for clubs like Man City, Inter Milan, and Juventus, among others.

Barcelona will shortly complete the signing of the right-back after patiently waiting for the transaction to be completed.
