Jonah Heim, an All-Star catcher for the Texas Rangers, was back in the lineup for Sunday’s game against San Francisco after being activated from the injured list.
Due to a left wrist tendon strain he sustained on June 26 while swinging a bat, Heim missed 14 games. The 28-year-old has been practicing catching and getting real at-bats for the past two days. He started 80 of the Rangers’ first 103 games.
Catcher Sam Huff was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock in order to free up space.
