Marc Cucurella, a full-back for Chelsea, is being pursued by Manchester United as a loan candidate.

Marc Cucurella has had a challenging time since joining Chelsea for £62 million last summer. Due to this, he has been mentioned as a full-back option for Manchester United.

Due to Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw’s injuries, United need coverage at the position.

United have reportedly asked Chelsea about a loan for Cucurella, and the Blues are intrigued if their requirements for the loan fee and salary are met, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Given how his time at Chelsea has gone, Marc Cucurella certainly wishes the deal to join the blue side of Manchester had gone through.

Last summer, City expressed interest in signing Cucurella but unusually withdrew after learning Brighton’s asking price.

Last August, Pep Guardiola was cited by The MEN as lamenting the fact that his board had prevented him from signing the defender.

He explained: “The club decided we wouldn’t pay this amount of money for this player, so we couldn’t move forward with Cucurella.”

Chelsea made a number of agreements with Brighton over the past 12 months, including the hiring and firing of manager Graham Potter, and they were willing to pay a high price for Cucurella.
