On Sunday, after the team from El Segundo, California, won the Little League Baseball World Series, both of Southern California’s Major League Baseball teams made significant social media posts praising the team.
In one of the most exciting Little League championship games in history, the California team defeated the Curacao squad 6-5 thanks to a walk-off home run.
Louis Lappe went 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored in the championship game.
The Angels of Los Angeles congratulated them on “X,” formerly known as Twitter, after the game.
“Congratulations, El Segundo Little League,” they proclaimed.
We’re quite pleased with our El Segundo team. Looking forward to meeting you all at Dodger Stadium on August 29. This, from the Los Angeles Dodgers, was the message.
On Tuesday night, before their home game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Dodgers will have a special ceremony to honor the team.

Twenty teams from all over the world competed in the first Little League Baseball World Series. There were ten American teams and ten international teams total.
Williamsport, Pennsylvania hosted the Little League Baseball World Series games.
