When is the group stage draw for the 2023–24 Champions League?On Thursday, August 31, after qualification is complete, the Champions League group stage draw will take place.

The 26 teams that have automatically advanced to the competition’s group stage, including English clubs Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle, will be included in that draw.

The teams that advance from the play-off round, which occurs in the final two weeks of August, will fill the remaining six berths.

The 32 teams are distributed into four groups of eight in a seeded draw. Each of the four pots will have one team selected from it.

It is forbidden to match teams from the same nation.

When are the group stage matches for the 2023–24 Champions League?Starting in the middle of September, group stage matches will be played.

The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stages after playing each other both at home and away during this stage.

When are the Champions League knockout draws for 2023–24?The quarterfinal and semifinal draws will happen on the same day in 2024, while the draw for the last 16 will take place in December after the group round is over.

Teams from the same nation will not be drawn against one another in the last-16 draw; instead, group stage champions will face group stage runners-up.

The draws for the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds are both open.

The draw for the quarterfinals and semifinals will be held on March 15, 2024.

When are the knockout matches for the 2023–24 Champions League?The knockout rounds of the Champions League are held in February, March, April, and May.

Each side will play one home game and one away game throughout the course of each tie’s two legs.

The following is the complete list of dates:

First legs of the last 16: February 13, 14, 20, and 21

March 5, 6, 12, and 13 are the last 16 second legs.
