Casemiro proves the Liverpool legend wrong

Former player Jamie Carragher thinks MU will be sorry they didn’t sign a young defensive midfielder who can replace Casemiro for a longer period of time.

The outrageous price that the big foggy teams paid to sign the defensive anchor midfielder “No. 6” makes the summer transfer window of 2023 stand out.

Because they invested £ 60 million in Casemiro last year—a player who has won the Champions League five times with Real Madrid—MU is not one of them alone.

According to Jamie Carragher, Casemiro is not worth the investment.

Jamie Carragher, however, said that following the demise of the Frenkie de Jong case, coach Ten Hag and MU executives panicked and purchased Casemiro.

According to the former Liverpool defender, “Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice are two examples worth reflecting on.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have made investments in experts who can play the number 6 position successfully for the next six to seven years.

I’ve never thought Casemiro was a good investment. Of all, no one questions the caliber of the Royal team’s players, who have repeatedly achieved the pinnacle.

However, given the enormous sum of money invested by MU and the fact that Casemiro is towards the end of his career, he is unable to fulfill all the conditions.

Casemiro is a last-minute purchase. To calm the anger of angry Red Devils fans at the time, an aging player signed a pen with a hefty salary.

To replace Casemiro, MU will have to spend significantly more money over the next two years on a new defensive midfielder.

Coach Ten Hag has recently vowed to convince Sofyan Amabat to lighten Casemiro’s load. However, because of financial fair play restrictions, they are having trouble hiring.
